Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College            

EPS delivers, under licence, the Emergency Planning College  range of courses in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.  The Emergency Planning College is situated at the heart of Government,

within the Civil Contingencies Secretariat (CCS) of the Cabinet Office.   Since 1989, it has been the Government's centre for running short seminars, workshops and courses on an inter–agency basis in the field of crisis management and emergency planning. Its diverse and dynamic programme attracts in excess of six thousand delegates per year from a wide range of backgrounds providing a national forum for discussion and the sharing of good practice.

Climate Change Risk Management
Climate Change Risk Management is a specialist climate science consultancy which was initially set up at the Oxford University Centre for the Environment, and which draws on expertise from the Atmosphere Oceanic and Planetary Physics Group in the Physics Department of the university; Oxford University Centre for the Environment, and the School of Geography, Archaeology and Earth Resources at Exeter University.     CCRM is run by Dr Stephan Harrison who is Associate Professor of Quaternary Science at Exeter University and a Senior Research Associate at Oxford University.  All members of the consultancy are internationally known scientists working in climate modelling, flood hazard risk assessment and landscape responses to climate change.  We have wide experience of producing research-led consultancy projects for the European Union, National and Local Government and commercial organisations.  We have particular research and consultancy interests in climate modelling (Professor Dave Stainforth is chief scientist for climateprediction.net, the largest climate modelling exercise yet undertaken; Dr Richard Washington is an expert on short-term climate variability and the predictive capability of climate models) and risk modelling associated with climate change (Professor Ian Foster, Professor David Smith, Dr Stephan Harrison and Dr Matt Wilson).
