EPS consultants are experienced in working with both the Public and Private Sectors and we have thereby developed a sound understanding of the unique requirements of both. With a diverse client portfolio that includes Government Departments, the legal sector, airports, ports and the international food sector, EPS consultants have assisted our clients with a wide range of resilience related matters. These include information management, crisis decision making, multi-agency response, reception and humanitarian centres, business continuity, crowd and public safety, plan development, media management and exercise and testing.
At EPS our consultants have an impressive individual and collective level of experience in planning for, responding to and recovering from emergencies, crises and business interruptions. In particular our consultants bring to their work practical, significant and varied experience within the multi-agency setting, as immediate responders and as tactical and strategic level planners. EPS consultants are competent in emergency, continuity management and risk specialties, having received world-class education and training throughout their careers. We recognise the importance of continuing staff development and our consultants combine their practical experience with professional development from the management schools of top-flight universities.
EPS also emphasises the importance of maintaining a close relationship with current practitioner organisations locally, nationally and internationally. We bring exposure to current standards and developments within our field. Among us we hold full membership of and participate actively in the Business Continuity Institute, the Emergency Planning Society and the Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management. Additionally, Alan Gardner, Managing Director of EPS holds a seat on the National Board of Directors of the Emergency Planning Society. All EPS consultants are Associate Course Directors for the UK Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College. EPS is also currently engaged in the delivery of an Emergency Planning Certificate course at Queen’s University, Belfast and in the design of an MSc Resilience Programme at the University of Ulster.
